DeepTriDrill – Copper Tube Machining – AH725
DeepTriDrill Copper Tube Machining with AH725 can cut cycle time and reaming cost
current application to drill 08.00mm diameter hole in copper alloy. Required 32 Ra and ±0.005 in tolerance.
The existing process required drilling and reaming. DeepTriDrill achived both operations in one pass. Both productivity and finish were improved.
Using an 18 mm DeepTriDrill on a Mazak lathe with internal coolant, cycle time was reduced from 25.3 sec to 18.2 sec.
Chip evacuation improved, changing long curls into broken chips, while chip removal increased from 7.4 to 10.37 in³/min. The solution helps improve bore quality while reducing secondary operations.
