IMPROVED TOOL LIFE AND PRODUCTIVITY
n this case study, DrillMeister DMF was applied to blind hole drilling of SUS630 valve components. Compared with the conventional insert-type drill, issues related to poor chip control and limited tool life were resolved by the excellent chip-breaking performance of DMF inserts. As a result, the number of holes per corner increased significantly from 800 to 1,500. Higher feed rates also reduced machining time, achieving both improved productivity and operational reliability. In addition, the adoption of a head-changeable tool greatly improved tool changeability and operator convenience.
