GNGA insert with a 70ﾟnose angle, combined with L style (S01315) edge prep, enabled light cutting, while BXA20 grade provided increased wear resistance. GNGA insert eliminated the formation of white layer* on the finished surface, while providing 7 times better tool life. *Phase transformation of the machined workpiece surface caused by mechanical and thermal impact inflicted during turning or grinding operation.
