Conventional taps suffered from short tool life, as wear caused a reduction in the effective thread diameter. TungTap’s AB060 grade features a coating with excellent heat resistance, which suppresses wear even under high-speed cutting conditions. This achieved a twofold improvement in machining efficiency and a 1.8-times increase in tool life.
