In this test, the issue of unstable engagement and edge chipping caused by convex forged surfaces was addressed by applying DMC geometry.
This reduced cutting edge load concentration and suppressed chipping. As a result, tool life was improved by 20% while maintaining the same cutting condition.
This demonstrates a highly effective solution for both stable machining and cost optimization.
