DoMultiRec – Vacuum pump part – A5052
IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY
Machining of a stepped hole with diameters of Φ24mm and Φ35mm.
In the conventional process, after drilling the Φ24mm hole, the tool was changed to a shoulder milling cutter to perform the counterboring for the Φ35mm diameter.
For this machining, we proposed using the DoMultiRec. The DoMultiRec allows the machining of both the Φ24mm and Φ35mm diameters using helical machining, consolidating the process into a single tool.
As a result, the machining time was reduced by 30 seconds compared to the previous process, improving the cycle time.
