TungMeister – EV Motor Shaft – AH715
IMPROVED TOOL LIFE
The customer previously used an HSS end mill that required replacement after only 5 components. Keeping the cutting speed, feed per tooth, and depth of cut unchanged, the tool was switched to a TungMeister VVFH head in grade AH715 combined with a VSSD high-rigidity shank. The number of components machined per head increased from 5 to 30, and the failure mode shifted from sudden cutting edge fracture to stable flank wear, with improvements in both surface finish quality and tool stability.
