IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY
In face finishing of a SUS440C block workpiece, machining with a 4-flute solid end mill using the bottom cutting edge caused cutter marks, leading to concerns about process reliability.
By switching to the 6-flute VFM (AH715), the feed rate was increased by 50% at the same feed per tooth. In addition, the wiper effect completely eliminated cutter marks, significantly improving surface finish quality.
As a result, the number of parts machined per head also increased by 50%. Surface quality, productivity, and tool life were improved simultaneously, achieving stable performance even in a BT30 environment.
