TungMeister – Fitting – AH725
IMPROVED TOOL LIFE & PRODUCTIVITY
An HSS chamfering tool had been used for internal diameter chamfering of hydraulic fitting components for construction machinery.
To extend tool life and improve machining efficiency, a TungMeister VDS head was tested.
By changing the cutting tool material from HSS to solid carbide, the cutting speed was increased by a factor of 3.2.
As a result, machining efficiency was improved by 4.3 times and tool life was extended by 11 times, delivering a significant improvement in this process.
