TungMeister – Shaft – AH725
IMPROVED TOOL LIFE & PRODUCTIVITY
An HSS head-exchangeable chamfering tool had been used for chamfering operations on shafts.
To improve productivity and extend tool life, a VDS chamfering head test using TungMeister was conducted.
The VDS head with thinning features provides lower cutting resistance, effectively suppressing chatter even in this operation where the workpiece overhang is long and vibration is likely to occur.
As a result, tool life was extended by a factor of five compared with the existing tool, and machining efficiency was improved by 1.6 times, making a significant contribution to productivity improvement in this process.
