TetraForce-Cut – clamping screw – AH7025
IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY AND TOOL LIFE
In machining clamping screws made of SCr440(H) steel on a CNC lathe, the previous external grooving solution faced challenges with short tool life and inconsistent groove dimensions.
By adopting Tungaloy's TetraForce-Cut featuring the AH7025 grade—a nano-multilayer PVD coating with excellent wear resistance and stability—the process achieved significant improvements.
Tool life doubled, with the number of parts per cutting edge increasing from 300 to 600, and productivity rose by approximately 50%, while consistent groove quality was maintained throughout production.
