TungCut – Parking axle – AH7025
IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
During parting off S45C parking axles in automotive production, the conventional tool experienced frequent insert changes due to limited tool life, even though chip control was challenging.
By introducing Tungaloy’s TungCut with AH7025 grade, known for its excellent wear resistance and high edge reliability in steel machining, the process achieved stable cutting performance.
As a result, tool life increased by approximately 60%, allowing the number of parts machined per edge to rise from 500 to 800 and significantly reducing downtime for insert replacement.
