IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
In parting-off operations of A286 nuts on a CNC lathe, the previous tool struggled with limited tool life, requiring frequent insert changes and impacting efficiency.
The adoption of Tungaloy’s TungCut system with GH130 grade, known for its excellent wear and fracture resistance in stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys, enabled stable machining under demanding conditions.
As a result, the number of parts machined per insert doubled from 200 to 400, achieving a 200% improvement in tool life and significantly reducing downtime for tool changes.
