IMPROVED TOOL LIFE & PRODUCTIVITY
In plate machining with varying depth of cut on a black skin surface, boundary wear and cutting edge chipping caused the tool to reach its lifespan mid-process, leading to downtime and reduced productivity.
To address this issue, we proposed the MillQuadFeed flat-top insert.
Its features, including an increased cutting edge cross-sectional area and a negative land geometry, help suppress edge damage and ensure stable machining.
As a result, tool life improved by 3.0 times, and productivity increased by 1.5 times.
