TetraMini-Cut – valve – AH8005
IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
During external grooving and subsequent side turning of SUS304 stainless steel valves for solar water heater components, the previous tool was limited by frequent insert changes due to short tool life.
The adoption of Tungaloy’s TetraMini-Cut with grade AH8005, known for its high wear resistance in stainless steel machining, provided stable cutting performance.
As a result, tool life was doubled, enabling 300 parts per cutting edge compared to 150 with the prior solution, leading to significantly reduced downtime and increased machining efficiency.
