In the internal grooving of Ti-6Al-4V aircraft fittings—a process complicated and need dimensional stability and burr control proved to be significant challenges with the previous tool.
By adopting Tungaloy's TinyMini-Turn with SH725 grade, precision machining was achieved thanks to the tool's optimization for small-diameter internal grooving and difficult-to-cut materials.
The new tool delivered stable dimensions and minimal burr formation, as confirmed by final in-house measurements, leading to successful implementation. This resulted in reliable production quality for critical aerospace components.
