DuoJust-Cut – shaft – SH725
IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
During parting off of S15C shafts on a Swiss Lathe, the previous tool required frequent insert changes, complicated further by inconvenient replacement of right-hand holders.
By introducing Tungaloy’s DuoJust-Cut equipped with grade SH725 and switching to a left-hand configuration, insert changes became easier and tool stability improved.
As a result, tool life per cutting edge increased by 33%, allowing 400 parts to be produced per edge compared to 300 with the previous solution, and ensuring greater operational efficiency.
