TungCut – shaft – AH7025
IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
During parting-off operations on SUS304 shafts using a CNC lathe, the previous tool was limited by tool life, requiring frequent insert changes and impacting productivity.
The adoption of Tungaloy’s TungCut system with AH7025 grade, which features a nano-multilayer PVD coating designed for outstanding wear and fracture resistance in stainless steel applications, enabled more stable cutting conditions.
As a result, the number of parts produced per cutting edge increased from 200 to 250, delivering a 25% improvement in tool life compared to the previous solution. This allowed for longer uninterrupted production and reduced tool change frequency.
