TungCut – Ball Nut – AH7025
IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY AND TOOL LIFE
When parting off S50C ball nuts on a Swiss lathe, the previous tool suffered from vibration and chipping, which led to unstable machining and limited tool life.
By switching to Tungaloy’s TungCut with the wear- and fracture-resistant AH7025 grade, and optimizing cutting conditions, stable performance was achieved.
As a result, the number of parts produced per edge increased from 1,200 to 2,000, realizing more than a 160% boost in both productivity and tool life compared with the previous solution.
