In parting off SUS304L shafts on a Swiss lathe, the previous tool struggled to deliver sufficient tool life, especially under demanding production requirements.
By introducing DuoForceCut equipped with SH725 grade inserts, which are engineered for superior performance in stainless steel machining, tool longevity was significantly improved.
The number of parts machined per cutting edge increased from 3,000 to 4,500, resulting in a 50% increase in tool life compared with the conventional tool. This enhancement not only reduced tool change frequency but also contributed to greater operational efficiency in volume production.
