IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
During the parting-off process of S50C spools on a dedicated machine, the previous tool faced limitations in tool life, necessitating frequent insert changes and increasing downtime.
By adopting Tungaloy's AddForceCut system with the wear-resistant AH6235 grade and its highly rigid self-clamping design for stable parting, the customer achieved a significant extension in edge durability.
As a result, the number of parts processed per cutting edge increased from 250 to 400, representing a 160% improvement in tool life. This led to reduced tooling costs and greater operational efficiency.
