TungCut – Air plane parts – AH7025
IMPROVE TOOL LIFE
In the parting off of airplane components made from Inconel X750 on a Swiss lathe, tool life was a persistent challenge due to the demanding nature of superalloy machining.
By adopting TungCut with grade AH7025, known for its exceptional wear resistance in difficult-to-cut materials, the user achieved stable performance and minimized tool changes through the system’s quick-change head design.
As a result, tool life increased dramatically, with parts per cutting edge improving from 100 to 700, equating to a 700% enhancement over the previous solution.
This not only reduced tooling costs but also contributed to greater production efficiency.
